This new project, Hyve, just announced they are accepting DOLA as payment for freelancing gigs. If you’re a user of Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, or another pay-per-project platform, you’ll understand and hopefully give it a look.
At a more macro level, however, we are studying different payment use cases for DOLA and payments to freelancers - which is alleged to be a $400 billion industry - is one I will recommend we use internally here. For the millions of unbanked and others for whom legacy freelancing sites are impractical, crypto provides a new layer of access and, in time, lower transaction fees. Fully decentralized stablecoins like DOLA - un-freezable and un-censorable - have an advantage in freelancer markets that are more prone to censorship.
We already do payroll in DOLA here at Inverse so great to see more projects accepting DOLA and congrats to the Hyve team!
